Getting a new perspective by setting limits helps mix things up. Following an assignment that artist Louise Fletcher suggests, to paraphrase, it will loosen things up!

For these images I’ve chosen colors that I wouldn’t normally pick and there’s with a painting time limit of 30 minutes. It’s a good exercise! More importantly I had the opportunity to approach the paper with a different attitude.

Sometimes it helps just to turn around and get a different view. Always learning.
