How does someone cultivate patience? You have and idea and you just want to get it done. During the summer I prepared several sheets of paper and dyed them blue. They are now blue and ready for art making! They have been in my studio patiently waiting to be used.

It reminds me that timing is everything and being ok with that timing and we must cultivate patience. Being ok with timing is one part but being patient is really hard. I think if we could all learn in the preparing we can practice accepting timing and being patience, I think we all might be a bit less anxious or even depressed.

Preparing for things so they evolve in their own way such as planting a seed, making cookies or painting. We get to see what perfect timing looks like – it is that moment that everything comes together.

There is nothing in this world that does not have a decisive moment
